The City of Dayton's Division of Golf is looking for energetic and motivated individuals to maintain golf course grounds and facilities for the enjoyment and safety of golfers. This is manual work in the performance of unskilled and limited skilled maintenance of a physically demanding nature.
Selected candidate will work at one of the three municipal golf courses (Kittyhawk, Madden or Community). Work of this class involves responsibility for performing work individually or as a member of a crew. Work is performed under close supervision. Varieties of tasks include, but not limited to: maintaining golf course grounds and facilities; changing cups, mowing grass on tees, greens and trim mowing around trees and sandtraps; filling and raking sandtraps; planting and caring for grass, shrubs, trees and other plants on the course; cleaning and caring for public areas; digging to repair irrigation lines; rakes and loads leaves, dirt and debris and prepares flower beds. All work is preformed without interfering with golf play and providing exceptional customer service.
GENERAL WORK SCHEDULE:
Must be available to work between the hours of 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on varied days, including some weekend and holiday hours. Typical season runs April through October. Full-time and part-time positions available.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
2. Must be 18 years of age or older.
3. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
4. Ability to work outdoors and in a variety of weather.
