City Clerk awarded Certified Municipal Clerk designation

Rashella Meeting

City Commission Clerk Rashella Lavender has earned the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk, as awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC). The designation is granted only to those municipal clerks who complete demanding education requirements and has pertinent experience in a municipality.  According to IIMC's website, the CMC program prepares applicants to meet the "challenges of the complex role of the Municipal Clerk" by providing them with quality education in partnership with institutions of higher learning.

In Ohio there are roughly 100 municipal clerks who have received this honor. Lavender is the first clerk to receive this designation in the City's history.
