City Dedicates Employee Clinic and Wellness Center

City officials including Mayor Nan Whaley will dedicate the newly-opened City of Dayton employee clinic and wellness center on Monday, December 12 at 4 p.m. The clinic is located at 1222 S. Patterson Blvd. (Wright Health Building, main floor).

Known by employees as The D.O.C. (Dayton Off-Site Clinic), the center will welcome employees and family members covered by City-provided health insurance. Its services include general medical check-ups, office visits, preventative care, healthy lifestyle coaching and more. The D.O.C. staff can serve as an employee's primary care providers or may be used in conjunction with another primary care physician.

Preventive care visits are free, and non-preventive care visits will cost a maximum of $20 per visit. The initial staffing plan calls for a half-time physician, a half-time registered nurse practitioner, a full-time medical assistant and a wellness coordinator. The D.O.C. is operated by Healthstat, in cooperation with the City of Dayton, and is Ohio's first municipal employee clinic.
