The Office of Public Affairs manages various communication functions for the City of Dayton organization, including the "Dayton Patented. Originals Wanted." branding campaign.
Public Affairs also produces news releases for City departments and agencies, as well as internal and external publications, including the weekly BizBites electronic newsletter and the monthly Dayton Extra electronic newsletter. Public Affairs is also responsible for development and maintenance of content on the City’s Web site. In addition, the Office of Public Affairs operates the City of Dayton Government Television Network (CDTN), which appears on Time Warner Cable’s Channels 6 and 993. The City government access television function includes taping various public meetings and producing City government-related programming.
Public Affairs also manages the City's social media outlets, which include Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
