Serve on a Commission Board

The City of Dayton encourages citizens to participate in their government and decision-making on community issues. One way to participate is to serve on a board or commission as an unpaid member. Each board or commission has a specific area of focus. Boards and commissions may make decisions based on specific guidelines, may make recommendations to the City Commission, or may conduct their own activities and events. The time commitment to serving on a board or commission varies from a few hours a week to a few hours a month. Some boards and commissions have specific requirements about a member's residency, skills and training, or other characteristics. If you are interested in serving on a board, submit an application.
