Aquatic Programs

Whether you're new to the pool and want to learn the basics of swimming, or just desire to stay in shape and look great, our aquatic programs can definitely get you were you're going. We offer a variety of classes to help you and your family meet your aquatic goals.

Youth Learn To Swim (Levels 1 - 5)


This swim program is for youth, ages 6 - 12 years old.  Participants start with learning the basics in the Level 1 class, and graduate to perfecting their backstroke and endurance by Level 5. 

Parent/Child Aquatics


Start 'em early! Your child will be exposed to water adjustment activities and experience supported movements.  Our team will assist you in helping your child practice elementary form of propulsive aquatic movement. (Ages 6 months - 3 years old)

Preschool Aquatics 1


This program is designed to orient young preschool children to the aquatic environment without the parents in the water, and help them gain basic aquatic kills independently. (Ages 4 & 5 years old)

Adult Learn to Swim


This class can help teens or adults overcome their fear of the water and learn the basic skills to build their confidence. In this course, patrons will learn to float, glide, tread water and be introduce to rotary breathing. Eventually, participants will be introduced to front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke and butterfly.  (Ages 16+)

General Admission/Lap Swim


If structured classes are not your thing, come and enjoy the water during any of our general admission or lap swim times.  The benefits of swimming are great, so bring the whole family and get your splash on!

Lifeguard Training


RYS offers Lifeguard Certification classes for anyone 15 years old and older, through a blended learning experience. Those interested must only complete three easy steps:
    1. Pass a pre-skills test.
    2. Complete the online course.
    3. Take the water and classroom sessions.

Lifeguard Review


This course is for lifeguards that are currently certified and need to update their certification before it expires.
