[ARCHIVED] Lifeguard Instructor Training

To become an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor, applicants must complete a review, an online course and water/classroom sessions. Training will take place at the Lohrey Recreation Center (2366 Glenarm Avenue) on January 22 from 12 to 4 p.m. and on February 5 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Lifeguard Instructor Prerequisites:

  • You must be at least 17 years old.
  • You must hold current Red Cross certificates in Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

Fee: $300 (includes all materials and equipment)

An additional $35 certification fee is required and is payable online directly to the American Red Cross.
