Q: Why is the Source Water Protection Program (SWPP) important?

A: Without SWPP in place, our region’s drinking water supply would be at risk for contamination, potentially rendering the water undrinkable. The SWPP is a matter of public health and helps to ensure out region’s economic future.

Q: How does a business comply with the SWPP?

A: The city of Dayton, Department of Water seeks to establish partnerships throughout the city. For assistance in completing a Regulated Substance Activity Inventory Report (RSAIR), for comments or concerns, regarding city visits or for general information, contact aaron.colson@daytonohio.gov or the Department of Water, Division of Environmental Management at 937-333-3725.
