Dayton firefighters and community partners including United Way of the Greater Dayton Area, the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army gathered to assemble "After the Fire" kits to be distributed to victims of devastating home fires in the city of Dayton.
Where possible, these kits are provided to fire victims before firefighters depart a fire scene. The kits contain a collection of basic supplies (including toiletries, flashlights, blankets, clothing, etc.) that can help with the daunting task of recovering from a home fire.
This is the second year that the Fire Department has organized this kit assembly effort. Participants assembled 50 kits.
