Chief Richard S. Biehl is proud to announce the Dayton Police Department earned Full Compliance accreditation with the Ohio Collaborative Law Enforcement Agency.
The Ohio Collaborative Law Enforcement Agency determined that the Dayton Police Department's policies and procedures are in compliance with the Collaborative's standards for use of force, use of deadly force, and recruiting and hiring.
The Ohio Collaborative assessor reported the following in his review: "The guiding principles of the Dayton Police Department's policies and procedures were closely aligned with the Ohio Collaborative's guiding principles prior to their promulgation by the Collaborative. Thus, the guiding principles of the Ohio Collaborative have been guiding principles of the Dayton Police Department's training and culture for several years."
The Dayton Police Department will take steps to renew this certification annually.
