Currently, there is a lack of education, training, and conflict intervention programs offered by the City for landlords and tenants. The goal of the City of Dayton is to foster responsible landlord behavior and sound, well-managed rental housing in our community and discourage activities that do harm to residents and neighborhoods. More… Every tax season, the City of Dayton works with regional partners to coordinate free, volunteer-staffed tax sites where residents can come and have their taxes prepared. Volunteers also help participants claim valuable tax credits, increasing their tax returns. Volunteers are trained through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program before staffing a tax prep site. If you're interested in helping your Dayton neighbors prepare their taxes and claim everything they're eligible for, fill out the form below.
