Purpose

To process any complaint of discrimination against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, ancestry, national origin, place of birth, age, marital status, or handicap in violation of any ordinance of the city, laws of the state or of the United States.

Commission shall designate a chairman and vice-chairman from members of the Council for a two-year term; maybe reappointed to a second two-year term as chairman or vice-chairman. Members of the Council may only serve two consecutive three-year terms. Note: Members of the Human Relations Council may be appointed to a second term, but may not be re-appointed thereto after such second term until after a one-year absence from the Human Relations Council.
